This website uses no tracking or advertising cookies and no third-party cookies. Your data is never sold or passed on to third parties for advertising. Our visitor statistics (see below) work without cookies. Only the following two cookies are set:
“session” (lifetime: until you close your browser) – only set when you use a feature that needs it: protecting the contact and booking forms against cross-site request forgery, and the language you actively chose. For the site operator, the same cookie is also used to sign in to the protected admin area. The cookie is only sent over encrypted connections and cannot be read by scripts (Secure, HttpOnly).
“stats_optout” (lifetime: 12 months) - only set if you choose “Don't count my visits”, and is used solely to store your privacy choice so that we can respect your decision on subsequent page views.
Whether you have already seen our privacy notice is remembered locally by your browser (no cookie, nothing sent to us).
This website runs on a server provided by Vultr Holdings, LLC (based in the USA), located in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. When you open a page, the web server necessarily processes your IP address in order to deliver it. In addition, the web server records each request (IP address, time, page requested, browser identifier) in log files so that attacks and abuse can be detected and prevented. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the security of this website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are deleted automatically after 7 days, unless they are needed longer to investigate a specific security incident. The entire connection is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS); unencrypted requests are automatically redirected to HTTPS.
Apart from the privacy-friendly, cookie-free visitor statistics (see below), we only collect the data you actively send us, and only for the purpose it relates to:
Contact form: name, email address, optionally a phone number, the service you are
interested in and your message - to handle your enquiry. We also store the IP address the form was
sent from, to protect against abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); it is deleted automatically after
30 days, while your message itself is kept for handling your enquiry.
Appointment booking: name, email address and the chosen topic - to arrange and
confirm the appointment. If a Zoom meeting is part of the booking, this information is passed to
Zoom Video Communications, Inc. to create the meeting (data processing on our behalf).
Email: If you email us, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to reply. Emails to our domains are received by the Cloudflare Email Routing service of Cloudflare, Inc. (based in the USA) and forwarded to our mailbox.
This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (handling an enquiry or preparing a contract).
To understand which pages are read, we record the following when a page is opened: time, page requested, browser and operating system type, device type (desktop/mobile/tablet), preferred language, the website you came from, and your IP address in shortened form (for IPv4 the last block is removed). No cookies are set and nothing is stored on or read from your device. To group page views from the same day, we compute a checksum from the IP address, browser identifier and a random value that is created fresh each day and then deleted - so we do not use the data to identify individual visitors or to track them across different days. The statistics are stored on the server this website runs on (see “Hosting”) and are not passed on to third parties.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly audience measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is deleted automatically after 90 days. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal, your visit is not recorded - so you can object at any time. Alternatively, choose “Don't count my visits” in the privacy notice (available via “Privacy settings” at the bottom of every page).
Your data is only kept as long as needed to handle your enquiry or booking and is deleted afterwards, unless a legal retention obligation applies. In detail:
IP addresses in server logs: 7 days.
IP address with the contact form: 30 days.
Visitor statistics (shortened IP address): 90 days.
Enquiries and bookings: until they have been dealt with, then only as long as
legal retention obligations require.
If a specific attack or abuse is detected, we keep the related data until the incident has been
resolved.
Using the contact and booking forms is voluntary - you decide whether to send us any data. You have the right at any time to:
access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
To exercise any of these rights - in particular to request erasure of data you have already sent us - an informal message to info@shanaei.de is enough. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
We use only technically necessary cookies (form security, your language) and count visits without cookies and with shortened IP addresses - no tracking, no advertising, nothing shared with third parties. Privacy policy
